Megan’s Wings is a proud supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and their mission to improve the care, quality of life and survival rate of children with blood-related cancers. Through its unique fundraising programs, Team in Training, School in Youth, Light the Night, and the Research Portfolio Program, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society brings patients and donors together in the search for a cure and has raised millions of dollars to fund cutting edge research that leads to medically sound treatment protocols for childhood cancers. Megan’s Wings believes strongly in LLS and stands beside them in their fight to find a cure for pediatric cancer. Over the last several years, Megan’s Wings has been a significant contributor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, most recently contributing $10,000 to a Leukemia Research Portfolio. These funds are directly earmarked to specific break-through leukemia research projects. Click below to see brief summaries of these projects.

Leukemia Research Portfolio Update

In January 2005, Megan’s Wings started a partnership with several Pediatric Research Organizations donating thousands of dollars toward their Pediatric Research Projects & Programs. Each research facility is completing remarkable work in their areas of focus and gives us all confidence in the strides being made in pediatric cancer research. Megan’s Wings supports research projects and programs at:

In December 2010, Megan’s Wings teamed up with the Ontario Fire Department to deliver over 200 Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve to City of Hope Cancer Center. Thanks to Ontario Fire Department and Captain Marty Perez for helping us give critically ill children spending Christmas in the hospital a special surprise!

Megan’s Wings also gifts fun recreational items to clinics and hospitals for all oncology children in for chemotherapy treatment to enjoy! Megan’s Wings donated a Ms. Pac Man Arcade Table to the Kaiser Fontana clinic, and according to nurses and parents ~ “It’s the Rage!”. This classic “80’s style” arcade table provides endless hours of pure “FUN” to patients in for chemo. Children get to choose between 50 different classic arcade games helping make treatment a little more tolerable.
