Adopt a Family for the Holidays

Have a heart for giving? Consider adopting to a family this year and help make the holidays a little brighter for a pediatric oncology family navigating cancer with their child. Click here to apply - we're accepting applications thru Nov 8.

To keep our cancer families safer, we've changed to a SHOP ONLINE process. After you signup, we will assign you a family and provide you with their Amazon wishlist. You can shop from the comfort of your home, and they will deliver the gifts to the family's home (giving Mom a chance to wrap her kid's presents and be apart of the giving :)

We offer 3 adoption levels:

FULL ADOPTION - you signup to buy gift/s for each child in the family from Amazon or another store that delivers, and you commit to make a $400 donation to Megan's Wings to cover the gas, grocery & clothing gift cards that each family receives to help offset extra expenses in December. Megan's Wings will securely purchase all gift cards to prevent fraud, and hand deliver them to the medical social workers in holiday cards letting each family knows who adopted them :) The family will receive this much needed financial support from the social worker when they come for their child's weekly treatment, and they will know the support came from you. Full adoptions are a $500 commitment for a family with 2 children. $600 for a family with 4 children, etc. We ask that you spend a minimum $50/child, but feel free to spoil them more if you wish.

PARTIAL ADOPTION - you signup to purchase the kids gifts through Amazon or a store that delivers. Spend a minimum $50/child. It's a $100 commitment for a family with 2 children, $200 for a family with 4 children, etc. Feel good knowing the kiddos will have a gift under the tree this year since many pediatric parents have had to miss work due to their child's illness and money for extras like gifts may not be in the budget.

BE A MONETARY DONOR - Don't have time, but want to help? Make a donation to Megan's Wings to help cover the cost of gift cards, help buy kids gifts or fully adopt, and we will assign a volunteer to shop for you. A $100 donation covers gifts for a family with 2 children and a $400 donation covers the gas and grocery gift cards that each family receives.
