Erick is an incredibly strong 18-year-old young man who was diagnosed with Metastatic Rhabdomyosarcoma at age 4. He recently assumed control of his treatment plan and opted for a palliative amputation of his arm. He is relearning skills but has adapted very well to his new life following surgery. Erick recently finished high school and due to his love of cooking hopes to continue on to culinary school in the near future. Erick lives with his parents and two sisters who have been his cheering squad and support during his many years of treatment. Erick's family has had to survive on one income due to his continual need for care. During the pandemic, their
income was greatly reduced when his father's self-owned business experienced a decline in clients. Mean's Wings Erick's parents shared "More than once, Megan's Wings has helped our family with emergency bills and gas cards to help with the high cost of gasoline. This past year, we received a much needed gift of assistance with rent because of our loss of income due to the pandemic." Erick and his parents would like to thank the donors that support this foundation. For his family, knowing that there are people willing to help them in their fight against their son's cancer has given them strength to continue despite difficult times.
